Ventilation, damp buildings and health
Building "dampness" is among the most consistent risk factors for allergies worldwide. However, knowledge on the causal factors involved is largely missing.
The Centre is addressing these issues in an extensive ongoing epidemiological study; Damp Buildings and Health. The study is aimed at generating hypotheses on why people are getting sick in buildings with "dampness" problems, and what the relations are between ventilation rates in homes and health.
