During the recent 11th International Conference on Industrial Ventilation, Ventilation 2015, taking place in Shanghai from October 26-28, Miss Xiaojing Zhang, a Ph.D. candidate from the Jiao Tong University in Shanghai received the best paper award for her paper on “Physiological responses to exposure to carbon dioxide and human bioeffluents”.
Miss Zhang stayed at the Centre for more than a year where she performed her experimental work under the supervision of Dr. Pawel Wargocki, who is also a co-supervisor of her Ph.D. thesis.
Her thesis is on the effects of CO2 and human bioeffluents on humans.
The supervisor is Prof. Zhiwei Lian from Jiao Tong University in Shanghai. The Centre has a strong collaboration with the group of Prof. Lian, which was documented and strengthened during the October visit of Dr. Wargocki to Shanghai. The paper of Miss Zhang has been submitted to Indoor Air Journal is now under review process.
