297 presentations of the latest knowledge on sustainable, healthy and sustainable construction

At the end of August, DTU gathered 365 researchers and professionals from 45 countries for the International Building Physics Conference 2021 to share knowledge on how we can create healthier and more sustainable and durable buildings. All types of internal insulation may cause mould growth

It requires great care to avoid moisture and mould growth in connection with internal insulation of an external wall. A new study from DTU shows that this applies regardless of the type of insulation system used.

The mystery of the weeping walls

Magnesium-oxide boards, or MgO boards, were used in construction from 2010-2015 as windbreak panels until it turned out that the boards had a frightening ability to absorb moisture.
